MESH TYPE

Plain Weave

This is the most basic weaving method that vertical and horizontal wires are alternately threaded keeping a constant distance. This type is used for screening, screen printing and general purpose of filters.

Twilled Weave

A vertical wire straddles two horizontal wires and a horizontal wire also straddles two vertical wires, as each wire keeps constant distance.
Twilled Weave is more durable than Plain Weave in case of the same mesh spec.

Plain Dutch Weave

As the weaving method is almost the same as Plain Weave, the distance from each horizontal wires are closer than Plain Weave’s, and also, the vertical wire diameter is heavier than the horizontal wire’s. This weaving method enables the wire cloth to be more and more durable. This is used for reinforcement.

Twilled Dutch Weave

As the weaving method is almost the same as Plain Dutch Weave, this is possible to weave with thicker diameter and finer mesh more than the same spec of Plain Dutch weaves. This can work well to percolate in high quality, not to mention it’s durable.

Five -Heddle Twilled

This is the special for drainage filters with a high through-flow capacity. Every fifth wires are woven in. Advantage of this is a smooth surface on one side and rapid cleaning easily.

Reverced Twilled Doutch Weave

This is one of the most difficult wire cloth to weave in high quality as the number of vertical wires is many more than the number of horizontal wires.
This weaving method enables the wire cloth to be durable and percolate in high quality more than Twilled Dutch Weave, more over Meiko has special own warping system which enables to weave continuously for mass production.
